We would like to commend DEE VOGEL for her patience, enthusiasm, support, and willingness to really listen to our wishes as we searched for almost two years to find a property for our retirement home in Santa Cruz County. We spent hours with Dee, driving from one mountain site to another and weighing the positive and negative elements of each parcel. Never did Dee try to pressure us into buying a property that did not meet our living needs and our aesthetic demands. In fact, she frequently counseled us (when we were getting discouraged) advising us not to give up, that it can take a long time to find the “right place” and assuring us that she would be with us no matter how long it might take to find a property that was right for us.

Shopping for undeveloped property was a new experience for Dee, and she was very straightforward in advising us of this. She did a lot of work to learn the intricacies of the Santa Cruz County rules and regulations for developing a residential property in the mountains and also directed us to legal and land use experts who could help us with the difficulties of negotiating all of the inspections, permits, etc.

Dee was clearly interested in us and was totally supportive of our desire to find a truly beautiful place to live in Santa Cruz County. She was always available, ready to help with paperwork and faxed documents, and never lost her positive attitude -- even when certain properties didn’t work out for us. We truly feel that she always put our own best interests first. She wanted us to be happy and satisfied with the property that she helped us buy. AND WE ARE!

We really feel that in the past almost two years we have gotten to know Dee and we love her. She is a wonderful person -- and we hope to maintain a personal friendship with her when we move back to Santa Cruz.
