We love Karen Sommerfeld! She assisted us in the purchase of a house and later in the sale of a house. In both instances, she was very professional, thorough, patient and honest.

When we were purchasing our house, we had very specific requirements: good for commuting over the Hill, had to have KPIG radio reception, needed a large garage (for our toys!), we wanted an outside shower, and didn't want to be in the city. We also were working within a very short time frame as we were about to hit the road for three months. Karen patiently took us to every house that even came close to our requirements. Her hard work and persistence paid off handsomely: she found us a wonderful place on a ridge with a view of the Bay, on five acres, at the end of a private road, only 15 minutes from town and easy access to Highway 17.

During Karen's retirement, our needs changed. Surfing entered the picture and we moved to the Pleasure Point area. When we decided to sell that house and become full time RVers, we were delighted to discover that Karen had returned! She guided us in the best way to show our house, helped us with making sure all the preliminary inspections were done, and worked very hard showing our house. Based on the price range that we were selling for, we expected the process to take about a month. Thanks to Karen, it sold in just 8 days!

Both times that Karen was our Realtor, she gently guided us through the sometimes-bewildering and seemingly endless processes. The inspections, the loans, the problems that crop up that have to be fixed, all the hitches-in-the-git-along that come up. She was unfailingly patient with our endless questions and very honest about what we should do and expect. She never lost her sense of humor or her light touch.

We have seen Karen Sommerfeld from both sides, now, and we just love them! Karen is the only person we know who can take a tremendously stressful process and make it reasonably enjoyable.
